This is the second of the Jurassic shorts I have offered critique. Now naturally with humour cartoons involving dinosaurs particularly by this aforementioned deviant I have come to expect mad-cap humour akin to perhaps the looney toons. But this came as a surprise to me because this shows the dinosaurs displaying something no-one thought they were capable of: satire. Humour is a game anyone can play regardless of intellect but there are elements only the thinking creature can comprehend, not the tiny minded pre-historic beasts. Up until now we have seen them be the first to play football, attempt farming and even explore the world of super-heroics with the success you'd expect from the silly dinosaurs. But now to pull the comedy rug from under our feet we have the first pre-historic game of golf and an unexpected nugget of wisdom from these tiny minded creatures which we evolved beings seemed to have failed to grasp. Pre-historic satire, it was all downhill from there. Once again the artist has made my day and managed to surprise me, I look forward to seeing what else he has in store from this surprising and hilarious dinosaurs.
CommentsAwesome critique! Thank you. I'm rather flattered and honoured by your descriptive and knowledgeable essay. I hope I don't upset too many golfing fans.
